About journaling
Journaling is an easy and low-cost way of improving your mental health. Keeping a journal provides a safe place to express thoughts and feelings while helping you stay focused on what matters most. Journaling gives you the structure and tools to reflect on the world around you, find meaning, and make changes in your life.
About me
Hi! I am Alex. I started journaling a couple of years ago. Mental health is something that everyone struggles with at some point in their lives. It's not just a matter of life or death —it's also a matter of emotional well-being. For most people, the first step toward improving mental health is to recognise they have a problem and then talk about it. However, many people find it difficult to open up about their feelings and emotions, even with people they trust. This is why I started. At first, I used a notebook but suddenly found that was not the right tool for me: It was not always handy and was restricted to writing or drawing. Also, I lacked some structure and my thoughts flow better when typing. After journaling in Notion for quite some time now and benefiting a lot from it, I have perfected this template and want it to get out there so that anyone can access it easily.
About this tool
If you're not used to journaling, it can feel daunting. You might not know what to write or how much to write. Or maybe you just don't want to take the time to sit down and write out your thoughts every day. That’s completely fine! I have included a three-step guide, exercises, examples and templates so you can sail through this journey and quickly turn it into a habit. Also, a journal isn’t going to solve all your problems. It isn’t a therapist. If you or a loved one are struggling with something serious, consider talking with someone or looking for professional help. However, I hope this journal can help you learn more about yourself and make you happier.
All proceeds will be donated to Mind, a mental health charity.
